Welcome to our Young Adults page, thanks for checking us out. Our YA's name is Journey - because we believe that life's a journey not a destination. We meet every Tuesday night here at Elim and walk down that road together. We have prayer from 6:45 - 7:15pm; and then at 7:30pm we begin our night.
Our nights include food, socializing, music, round table discussion, lecture, preach/teach, video and a chance to meet many Young Adults. Not all of these dynamics on one night, but sure enough each week you will get a mixture of some sort.
We desire to see a generation of YA's who take their stand for Jesus. We rely on the Word of God for this, as well as interaction with one another, what a great combo as we endeavor in the Christian walk.
For the course of 2011-12 we are placing our focus on a theme called The Christian Atheist. Our text is from Titus 1:16, "These people claim to KNOW God, but deny Him with how they live." (NLT). It is not enough to just say that we believe in God, or know Him without our lives representing who He is. It is our endeavor to go on this Journey of becoming more like Christ.
